But first I'm going to check the icebox for some sourdough bread for my morning peanut butter sandwich. Hey! Who ate it? Okay, I'm off to Trader Joe's.

Cave Clean-out

Well, the patriarch of the Cedar Ridge Bears flew out this morning. Our North Liberty outpost reported that he arrived in Cedar Rapids on time and somewhat wistful. The WFC is sparkling (well, as much as a cave can sparkle). The PotCRB even rearranged the silverware drawer. Well, just as well. Ron is off to Georgia again on Monday and it is likely that by the time he returns, the cave will need to be cleaned again.

Oh, and CLH, Otter, Bing, Knute, and friends have reemerged and are basking in the warm California sun.

As promised, the pictures are back from the censor. The PotCRB visited an undisclosed location today. However, it does look a lot like Point Loma.






Yes, that looks like the Pacific off in the distance.









From this angle, that looks like the mouth of San Diego harbor. Yes, I would definitely say that the PotCRB was up the Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma checking for the secret entrance to the WFC. Since the location is classified, we can neither confirm nor deny that he got anywhere near it.

Honored Visitor to the WFC

The WFC has been honored with a visit from the patriarch of the Cedar Ridge Bears. Although Illinois is acknowledged as one of the States of the Union, the Bear Republic controls its borders, at least when dealing with non-Spanish speakers. Here is PotCRB waiting to inprocess.





After clearing the border, the patriarch of the Cedar Ridge Bears saluted the flag of the Bear Republic and tried to blend in. This involved trips to the beach, the mountains, Vons, and UTC. Well, actually the most visited place in San Diego has been the WFC hot tub.




PotCRB decided the "burger and beer" special at Sam's by the Sea was good enough to try twice. In fact, after two visits, it has moved onto the list of favorite haunts. It has cold beer, hot hamburgers, and a good view of the ocean.





As you can see, PotCRB also took a run up Palomar Mountain to the observatory to see what's shakin in the woods. PotCRB was much more sanguine about the twisty mountain roads than his driver.

There have been several small earthquakes over the last week that were detected by the bear from back East. Evidently the ground doesn't shake much back there. There will be more exploits of the PotCRB after the censors release the photos.
